Rottnest Island
“Sometimes the road less travelled is less travelled for a reason.”
Rottnest Island is one of those places that just wows you to silence. That is if you are the kind that prefers nature over urban jungle. My school rented bikes for us and it was the only practical way to get around the island and it will probably be one of your best cycling experience. It was a fun filled 4 days on this island. We cycled, snorkelled, attended lessons on seagrasses, woke up for sunrises, lied on beaches to look at milky way and ate tons of food. It was a once in a lifetime experience for me. I’m not really sure how I can put the beauty of this island into words. Just go visit the island if you are ever in Perth. You won’t regret it.
P.S. Bring a tripod along if you are into photography. The view of Milky Way from the island is just A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Oh and make sure you learn how to cycle first! ;)
